It was a day unlike any other and will undoubtedly go down in the annals of sports history as one of the greatest upsets.

Japan, considered by most analysts to be an underdog, toppled South Africa's behemoths by two points in the Rugby World Cup in a nail-biting opening game for both. Naturally enough, Ireland took their victory over the South Africans to our own bosom because we love a good underdog story here.

Pretty much all of Ireland's contingent across the way in Great Britain were standing behind the Japanese in the final moments of the game and, sure enough, when the game was called for Japan, we celebrated with them.
