Mere hours can't by without hearing more news of the Irish fans antics at Euro 2016 being praised. The French woman who was serenaded by Irish fans outside the Connemara Pub in Bordeaux has described the experience as "magical".

19 year old Carla Romero became the subject of a viral video when the Irish football fans serenaded her with a cover of Frankie Valli’s ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’.

Ms Romero told the Daily Mail that she was “very proud of the Irish. It was a magical time filled with kindness and joy."

She said that she ended up at the Connemara Pub completely by chance after a friend brought her there after work.

“I never normally go there,” she said. “After a drink, we went out for some air and a few Irish lads started off having their pictures taken with me. It made me laugh. Then one of them started to sing and all the others turned round and followed him… It was done so nicely with good humour.”

She added “I did not know the Irish before. It was a good way of discovering them.”
