Believe it or not, Pokemon is turning 20 this year. Yes, Pikachu, Bulbasaur and the original 150 are now two decades old.
To celebrate, a trailer was created for the upcoming Superbowl that shows children and teenagers from around the world being inspired to be the very best. Y'know, like the theme song from the TV show.
Not only that, the trailer itself is riddled with a few references. For one, the jerseys on the football players reads '19' and '96' - which is the the year Pokemon first launched. Moreover, the slogan they tap as they're heading out is also from the theme song from the TV show.
Seriously, Pokemon's theme song was one of the best theme songs ever and - no joke - we've heard of people using it for workout music. Makes sense.
