It seems that YouTuber Logan Paul is well and truly chastened by the controversy he created earlier this month after filming the body of a dead man in one of his videos. Either that, or he's worried about his reputation and sustaining the 15 million subscribers to his channel.

As you may remember, the American blogger took a trip to Japan's Aokigahara Forest - also known as the 'Suicide Forest', as it is a notorious suicide hotspot - with the intention of camping overnight when they happened upon a recently-deceased man.

The 22-year-old came in for harsh criticism for his insensitivity and his reaction to their sad discovery, which included smiling and laughing in incredulity with his friends.

He released an apology video in the days following the uproar, but now, he has returned to YouTube with a 7-minute long video about suicide awareness titled 'Suicide: Be Here Tomorrow'.

In it, he speaks to people who have attempted to take their own lives in an effort to "understand the complexities surrounding suicide" - including a man who jumped from San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge.

"I know I've made mistakes. I know I've let people down," he says in the video. "But what happens when you're given an opportunity to help make a difference in the world?"
