The Irish presenter and model made a recent trip to Nepal to help raise awareness about the need for education after the earthquake.

We’ve been used to seeing her glammed up every Saturday night with her recent stint on Strictly but presenter Laura Whitmore showed her more serious side when she visited Nepal for the EU/UNICEF Ireland campaign. In the video Laura is seen talking to teenagers who survived the earthquake but are struggling to have a good education as thousands of schools were destroyed. You can see the Irish presenter is moved as she speaks to survivors and realises just how important education is – especially after an emergency. For UNICEF, education is just as important as food, water and medicine in these situations.

We’re loving seeing this side of Laura as raising awareness for Nepal is so important. Check out the video and use the hashtag #EmergencyLessons to share your thoughts.
