Snapchat, watch your back because Zuckerberg is coming for you.
Instagram today unveiled their newest update to the app which Snapchat users will find very familiar. Crowns, animal ears and every other face adorning item that Snapchat made popular now appears in the update.
"An easy way to turn an ordinary selfie into something fun and entertaining", Instagram's take on Snapchat's filters is just another step towards global domination by the app as it moves from being a photo and video publishing platform to a messaging and photo/video sharing app.
The face filters aren't the only new feature added today, with a 'Rewind' function that lets you record video in reverse, the ability to hashtag your Instagram Stories, and a new eraser brush tool that lets you play around with colour in your story.
