Pastry designer Jami Behrends managed to craft a particularly intricate cake design for a recent event. The cake is essentially World 1-1 from the 1985 classic, Super Mario Bros. But how does that work, you're asking?

Through stop-motion, basically. The cake is on a circle and is rotated and animated, frame by frame, until you see the video below.

It might be only a minute, but anyone who's done stop-motion animation will tell you that it's a drawn-out, laborious process that literally takes hours to create a minute or two of footage.

Plus, keep in mind that this is cake and it's delicious and most likely you're forcing yourself not to eat whilst animating the whole thing.
