Ireland has now entered the final stages of bidding to host the Rugby World Cup in 2023.
If we win the bid, Ireland will play host to the third-largest sporting event in the world - as well as generate an expected €750 million for the Irish economy as well. Earlier today, an official video announcing Ireland's final stage bid for the event debuted online and showcased our stadiums from Croke Park to the Aviva, the landscape, the infrastructure and just about everything else there is for the bid.
On top of all that, you have Irish rugby legend Brian O'Driscoll, Niamh Briggs of the Irish women's rugby team, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Tanaiste Frances Fitzgerald, Paraic Duffy of the GAA, Philip Browne of the IRFU, and plenty of others lining up to support the bid.
