Will Ferrell was honoured yesterday by his alma mater, University of Southern California, with a honorary doctorate of letters.

Ferrell was formerly a student at USC and graduated in 1990 and initially planned on being a sports broadcaster, but dumped that idea and became an improv comedian instead. As part of the commencement address - which you can see below in full - Ferrell talked about his time at USC, how he can now flaunt the fact that he's a doctor, sang the Star Trek theme tune in full (no, really) and, to top it all off, he sang Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You in full.

He even got the high pitches and everything, it's actually quite impressive.

Take a look.
