Last night saw the 2017 White House Correspondents' Dinner take place in Washington D.C. - without Donald Trump in attendance.

Trump's absence from the event is unheard of, as Presidents have attended the event since its inception. Ronald Reagan, in 1981, did not attend for a very simple reason - there was an attempt on his life and he was recuperating. Donald Trump's reason? He was attending a pep rally in Pennsylvania.

As you can imagine, Trump bore the brunt of the jokes from the dais with Hasan Minhaj, a correspondent on Comedy Central's Daily Show, spending the majority of his time on Trump's lack of experience, his ties to Russia, and the fact that the entire Trump Administration decided not to attend.

Take a look.
