And it would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for that pesky oar.
Janna Breslin was on holiday in Weeki Wachee Springs, Florida, when she crossed paths with a very "curious" raccoon who didn't seem to have any fear of her or understand the concept of boundaries, making straight for her pack containing her lunch and almost making off with it.
"I'm not happy I had to bonk him on the head," she said on YouTube. "I tried to nicely keep him away from me and my things but once I felt he was not going to let go of my clothing and food, I made a split decision to make sure my belongings were safe. As you can see he swam away and was totally fine. We even saw him walking around an hour later and tried to come up to us again."
Can't blame him for trying.
