98-year-old widow Daphne Dunne has come out to meet Prince Harry on three occasions. She previously caught his attention when he visited Australia in 2015 and 2017. This year, the Duke of Sussex chatted with and got a kiss from his biggest fan once again. He even introduced her to his wife Meghan Markle.

Mrs Dunne spent several minutes speaking with the Duke and Duchess, who bent down to speak with her, and they listened intently as she spoke and gently stroked Harry's face.

“It’s fantastic. I’m so happy to finally meet you. I’ve heard so much about you — all good things,” Meghan told Mrs Dunne, according to reports.

“I'm so excited to meet you too,” Mrs Dunne replied before telling the Duchess that news they were expecting a baby is “just what Harry needs.” “I think it’s wonderful, the two of you,” she added.

Accepting flowers and cards from Mrs Dunne, Meghan thanked her and said: “Hopefully next time we see you, we’ll have a little one with us.”

Speaking to news.com.au before meeting the famous couple, Mrs Dunne said it was “just marvellous” that her favourite prince is having a child.

“It’s what he’s always wanted. He will be a marvellous dad,” she said. “He won’t let anything stand in his way and he will be so gentle and loving. This should be an Australian baby.”

Mrs Dunne said Meghan and Harry were “beautiful together” and it was nice to see the couple show such affection for each other in public.

“I’m excited to see Harry. He’s a wonderful friend … That’s how I feel about him. He’s my favourite royal and so good-looking too. I’m sorry he’s taken,” she said.
