Donald Trump's outright racist and dangerous Muslim Ban is sending shockwaves throughout both the US and the wider world, with many tech giants - such as Google, Apple and Netflix - speaking out against it.

It's now the No.1 Trending Topic on Twitter, Google and it's not going away. Just last night, the American Civil Liberties Union managed to temporarily stop deportations of Syrians from the US under the ban and the hope is to try eventually dismantle the thing via the courts.

As you'd expect, Trump's actions have also been met with widespread condemnation from political leaders around the globe, with both First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau offering their support to those affected by the ban.

Here in Ireland, surprise surprise, just about everyone's been quiet on the issue. In the coming months, Enda Kenny is due to travel to the US to meet with Donald Trump for the annual St. Patrick's Day tradition of a shamrock bowl for the sitting US President.

It's a tradition that's gone on for many years, but in light of Trump's actions against immigrants, many are calling for Kenny to take a stand and boycott this year's ceremony. After all, Irish people have a long history of immigration.

At least two petitions so far have been started, one of which is to remind Enda Kenny that he is not travelling in the signatories name and the other which calls for Enda Kenny not to attend as a clear message to the US President that "that his decisions concerning human rights and immigration will not stand in our modern world."

You can sign both petitions here and here.
