Susan Wojcicki says the controversial online star will continue to upload on the site.

In January YouTuber Logan Paul made headlines around the world when he made a video that featured the body of a Japanese man who had just committed suicide.

No sooner had he apologised for that one, he uploaded another video in which he tasered dead rats. Seriously. YouTube temporarily suspended ads on his channel for that stunt.

But apparently his recent behaviour hasn’t warranted his removal from the streaming service.

“He hasn’t done anything that would cause those three strikes,” Wojcicki said. “We can’t just be pulling people off our platform … They need to violate a policy. We need to have consistent [rules]. This is like a code of law.”

“What you think is tasteless is not necessarily what someone else would think is tasteless,” she said. “We need to have consistent laws, so that in our policies, so we can apply it consistently to millions of videos, millions of creators.”

Advertisers have been highly critical of YouTube and their apparent reluctance to discipline Logan Paul.

YouTube deny the fact that Logan Paul and his 15 million followers make them gazillions of dollars a year has played any role in their decision. Mmmm.
