Kevin Spacey is at the centre of a sexual harassment scandal that so far involves a number of men, one of which is Anthony Rapp, best known for his role in Star Trek Discovery.

However, in the past twenty-four hours, Richard Dreyfuss' son - actor-writer Harry Dreyfuss - came forward with his own story about Kevin Spacey. According to Dreyfuss, who was 18 at the time and still in high school, Spacey groped and fondled him during rehearsals for a play - when his father, Richard, was in the same room.

In a guest column on Buzzfeed, Dreyfuss explained that the incident "happened one night when the three of us were alone in Kevin’s apartment rehearsing my father’s lines. My father didn’t see, and I didn’t tell him about the incident for many years. Instead, I spent the next nine years telling people the story at parties for laughs."

The play was called Complicit and was being put on in the Old Vic Theatre, where Spacey was serving as Artistic Director from 2004 until 2015. As Dreyfuss explains in his piece, his father never knew about the incident until years after - and specifically kept quiet about the incident at the time as he believed he "was protecting everyone."

"I was protecting my dad’s career. I was protecting Kevin, who my dad surely would have tried to punch. I was protecting myself, because I thought one day I’d want to work with this man."

Spacey has made no comment on Dreyfuss' accusations.
