A clip from a classic episode of RTE's Nationwide has been doing the rounds on Facebook and has captured the imagination of a nation.

A small baby, drinking a pint of Guinness, in a pub in Clare - a Pint Baby, if you will. The Nationwide segment was about single men and women in Kerry, but this particular scene was set in a bar in Ennistymon, Co. Clare and sees a baby propped up in a bar about to take a sip of Guinness, calling to mind the legends of Paddy Losty and the fabled Pintmen of yore.

So, let's see if we can walk this investigation through and identify Pint Baby. Here are the facts, as we have them:

- The clip is from 1997 and we'd suspect the baby is probably about one year old, if not more. So we'll say that Pint Baby is now at least twenty years old.

- We know the venue is Co. Clare and we'd suspect that the venue is possibly Willie Daly's bar in Ennistymon, Co. Clare.

- There is a pint and there is a baby, hence Pint Baby.

So, that's basically all we've got so far.

Do you recognise anyone in the video? Are you Pint Baby? If so, step forward and claim your adulation - there's many people who want to buy you a pint.
