From Ru Paul to Stephen Fry along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Courteney Cox and Maisie Williams - they are just a few of the big names that have praised the rather unique work of Kildare artist Paul Broughall.

He paints portraits of celebrities but it's not a solo mission; he has the help of five very talented little chicks who feature proudly in all of his/their work.

Take a look at some of his paintings below:

The pictures have had plenty of success already, with Paul previously featuring in the likes of The New York Times, Buzzfeed and Entertainment Weekly. Thanks to social media, Paul has got the attention of his subjects too, with Kris Jenner and Cher both liking their pictures as well as comments from Sarah Jessica Parker, Courteney Cox, Andy Lassner (the producer of the Ellen DeGeneres Show), Stephen Fry and many more.

29-year-old Paul told entertainment.ie: "I didn't study art, I randomly just discovered a love for it through the chicks. I found them one day on top of my fridge and got the idea to give them little adventures like taking a picture of them on safari in a toy 4x4 with some toy African animals in the background or making a Stonehenge from rocks for them to visit and stuff like that. It was called "Chicks Adventures" and one of the adventures was an art class."

"When I finished Chick Adventures I found the art stuff a few months later and Artistic Chicks was born from that."

Why does he do it? Why not!

"I do it because it's fun," Paul said "It's exciting like when you get feedback from celebrities on the paintings. The reaction has been amazing from everyone, especially famous people.
