If you were brave enough to watch last night's 8th Amendment debate on RTE's Prime Time after the trauma of last week's Claire Byrne Live fiasco, you may have noticed the reaction on Twitter - particularly to Minister for Health Simon Harris.

With Cora Sherlock of the 'No' side pulling out at the 11th hour, Harris and Sinn Fein TD Peadar Toibin were left to debate the issue alone, with Harris being in favour of repealing.

The debate was largely civil and certainly handled with more decorum than its predecessor, but Twitter was an amusing place to be - mostly because people were so unexpectedly impressed by Harris's clear and concise debating skills.
