Yup, even Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson needs a stunt double to achieve those magnificent, physical, on-screen feats.

And who better to sub-in than the people you can always rely on – family.

Born in Hawaii, Tanoai Reed is the great nephew of Johnson's grandmother, Lia Maivia. The cousins are part of the Anao'i family, a wrestling dynasty that goes back generations, though Reed himself doesn’t wrestle.

The likeness is really uncanny.

Reed was a gladiator on American Gladiators and has been doubling for his cousin since pretty much the start of Johnson’s acting career, beginning with 2002’s The Scorpion King. Reed has remained his cousin's main stunt double since, doubling for him in Faster, The Other Guys, Pain & Gain, San Andreas, the Fast & Furious franchise, Baywatch and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, among others.
