After the baffling decision to discontinue the console earlier this year, Nintendo have realised the error of their ways and announced that new shipments will begin next summer.

They also revealed that demand for the Super Nes Classic is so high that they will extend shipments into 2018. Nintendo had previously said it would stop selling it this year.

The NES Classic Edition, which was originally released in November 2016, included 30 classic 8-bit games and originally retailed for approximately €59.99.
