It's been an interesting week for Michael Bay. The director found himself at the centre of a body shaming scandal earlier this week after Kate Beckinsale revealed that the director advised her to lose her baby weight prior to shooting Pearl Harbour if she wanted to be in the movie.

The director calmly responded to the comments with a blog post saying that "95 % of leads in movies have trainers and drink green juice!" and asking was it really that ridiculous to suggest a trainer when she was "about to enter into an intensive action movie."

Well if anyone was annoyed with Bay over his comments then they might find it hard to stay mad at him after they hear this. The Transformers director has cast Freya, 'the world's loneliest dog' in Transformers 5.

If you're not familiar with Freya's story then we'll give you a bit of backstory. Poor Freya, a Staffordshire bull terrier who suffers from epilepsy, has spent her whole life in kennels where she has been visited and rejected by over 18,000 potential owners. Yes, 18,000! Her story was picked up by several media outlets throughout the UK last week and luckily for her, Bay spotted one of them.

Not only is Bay giving Freya a role in a movie, he's also promising to find her a home, claiming he'll take her in himself if needs be.

Looks like Freya is going to get the Hollywood ending she deserves and Michael Bay is going to get back in the public's good books. That is as long as we don't hear any stories about him forcing Freya to get a trainer and lose some weight.
