As we reported around this time last year, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is expanding into Dublin and expanding our waistlines once it officially arrives.

A report in the Irish Independent today has it that Blanchardstown Centre has been selected as the first site for Krispy Kreme in Ireland, however no opening date has been confirmed. Krispy Kreme has so far made no official statement on the matter nor confirmed if Blanchardstown Centre has been selected.

According to the Irish Times' original report in 2016, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and Blanchardstown Centre were listed as two potential sites for Krispy Kreme to set up in Ireland. All told, Krispy Kreme has 1,200 outlets across the globe with 90 set up in the United Kingdom.

The proposed Blanchardstown site would be the first in Ireland.
