JK Rowling has reclaimed her crown as the world's richest author once again, earning an estimated $95 million over the past year alone, according to Forbes.

The English author overtook the earnings of James Patterson in the year ending May 31st 2017, mostly thanks to the release of the manuscript of 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' - which she composed the story of - and the release of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' (which she wrote the screenplay for) last year, as well as the various new editions of the Harry Potter series released for its 20th anniversary recently.

Her whopping earnings translate to €79.9 million, or $180 (€151) per MINUTE.

Other authors on the list include Dan Brown, Stephen King and '50 Shades of Grey' author EL James.
