Although it had been rumoured for quite a while that Ronda Rousey's time in the UFC was done, it seems it's now official - as Ronda Rousey has now signed a deal to join WWE and was introduced at last night's Royal Rumble.

Last night also saw the first inaugural Womens' Royal Rumble, with Asuka winning the match-up and the chance to square off against the current Women's Champion, Charlotte Flair. Rousey appeared just after Asuka was announced as the winner, confirming that she's now a WWE wrestler and will likely make her professional debut at WrestleMania.

Rousey's made no secret of her interest in wrestling, and even borrowed her UFC nickname from Rowdy Roddy Piper. Here's the moment when Ronda appeared at Royal Rumble.

In an interview with ESPN after the announcement, Rousey said that "(this) is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt. There are other things I can do with my time that'll make way more money, but I won't enjoy nearly as much."

Rousey previously appeared at WrestleMania 31 with The Rock, and MMAFighting.com is reporting that the WWE are now trying to set up a tag-team match with Ronda and the Rock for WrestleMania 34. Whether that comes to fruition remains to be seen, but one thing's for certain - Ronda Rousey's time in the UFC is now over.
