You know when you play 'hilarious' pranks on your other half like listing them 'for sale' on eBay?

Simon O'Kane felt that he wasn't getting enough sympathy from his wife when he was feeling ill. So he decided to play a joke on her by listing her on the popular auction site eBay.

The ad, entitled 'Used Wife' came with a tongue in cheek list of pros and cons. The 'pros' included 'decent bodywork' while the cons featured the likes of 'Often makes this noise that cannot be silenced unless you order brand new shiny parts of metal.'

Simon concluded the listing with the line:  ‘Offers welcome, may consider a part exchange for a younger model.’

Simon's wife, Leandra only spotted the listing after it was brought to her attention by some work pals.

‘I was absolutely fuming – I wanted to kill him,’ she said. ‘Everyone at work saw it and were laughing their heads off.'

Though it seems Leandra's biggest gripe about the listing was purely superficial.

'Not only did he put me up for sale but he used such a bad photo.’

Bids for Leandra had reached £65,000 before eBay removed the listing because, you know, it being illegal to sell people and all that.

‘If eBay hadn’t taken the listing down, who knows how much I would have got?’ Leandra wondered.

The pair admitted that they had received some interesting messages from perspective buyers with some of the 'pervy' ones asking for more photos, while there was one message looking to exchange her for a camel.

‘I’m really lucky that she’s such a legend and takes all my pranks on the chin,’ explained Simon. Indeed you are Simon as we can imagine most women wouldn't have been as forgiving.
