Graham Linehan, the co-creator of Father Ted, Black Books and The IT Crowd, has departed Twitter, despite being a frequent user on the social media platform and an early adopter.

In a lengthy Medium post, Linehan explained that he "can’t be complicit anymore," and directly cited Donald Trump's flagrant abuse of the Terms of Service for the site, particularly his tweets regarding North Korea. "This was so obviously a violation of their own ToS (terms of service) and they didn’t suspend his account or even try to delete it," wrote Linehan.

Linehan's move comes just a day after actress Rose McGowan led a boycott against the beleaguered social media platform for suspending her account. Twitter explained that McGowan's account was suspended as someone in the replies had posted a private phone number, but the PR damage was already done.
