There has been many a rumour going around the next Star Wars flick, Episode VII, will be filmed partly here in Ireland, in none other than Co. Kerry (there'll be no living with them now) on Skellig Michael. If you're wondering how the hell this island off the south west coast could pose as an intergalactic setting then you need to take a look at this video.
A media production studio in Kerry called Bold Puppy edited together this vid of what they think a sci-fi Skellig Michael will look like. The islands even have some visitors from some of our favourite Star Wars characters... the best has to be Chewbacca's cameo at the end.
We can actually see this as a good fit now, that area of Kerry is beautiful enough to be from a galaxy far, far away in fairness.
