Alone It Stands returning to Olympia in 2013

After a long sabbatical, the critically acclaimed and hugely successful Alone It Stands is returning to The Olympia Theatre Dublin for limited run in 2013. Playing from February 25 to March 2, the now legendary David vs. Goliath story of how Munster Rugby played and beat the almighty New Zealand All Blacks in 1978 is well overdue for a revival, and going on how well received it has been in the past, this one looks to be a repeat offender in terms of popularity.

John Breens tale, featuring 6 actors in 62 roles, recreates the event that became one of the sporting moments of the century, and brings together numerous elements from the match to create a true tour de force of live theatre. If you have a rugby loving person and are stuck for a last minute Christmas gift, you could do a lot worse, and tickets are on sale now from €20.
