The socialite/heiress has somehow become one of the world's highest paid DJs.

In spite of having a music career that largely flopped in about every way that you could possibly imagine, Paris Hilton has somehow found a way to establish herself as one of the world's most in-demand DJs by commanding a figure in the region of €275,000 PER HOUR for her time behind the decks.

Hilton maintains a residency at a club called Harrah's in Atlantic City and also regularly takes trips to Dubai, Vietnam and Shanghai for sets. Recently, a four-night spell in Ibiza garnered Hilton €2.1 million.

"I am working a lot as a DJ and getting paid very well and having a ball", Hilton said to Page 6 of her budding career as a DJ.

"My mother always told me it's not polite to discuss money, but it's true. I'm very proud. I've worked hard. I love music. It's my passion."

To put this in some sort of context, Calvin Harris, often touted as one of the world's best DJs, made around €52 million this year as per the Forbes Rich List - a sum that Hilton could achieve by for just a few months.

Meanwhile, Hilton is set to release her second album this year after signing up with Lil' Wayne's Cash Money label. Her first record sold just 600,000 copies worldwide and her two singles of the past year failed to chart in the UK or the US on their release.

Good thing she has that DJ gig to fall back on, isn't it?

Meanwhile, here's a video of Paris Hilton being awful at DJing in Brazil a couple of years ago.
