The last day of Electric Picnic brought with it some of the weekend's most anticipated acts in tandem with some fantastic discoveries in the festival's many nooks and crannies and, yes, a little drizzle.

Neither Outkast nor Beck, last night's two main attractions, have played an Irish show in many a year and both of them definitely made up for lost time on the main stage.

Beck's set was essentially a greatest hits performance. A few cuts from his recent record Morning Phase were added in for good measure but there was little surprise that tunes like 'Loser', 'Devil's Haircut' and 'Where It's At' were the highlights for most in attendance.

Outkast hadn't played Ireland (or anywhere, in fact) until deciding to end their hiatus for a spate of shows this summer. Ring rust was never an option for Andres 3000 or Big Boi, though perhaps it would have been wise for one of their crew to tell them that they weren't actually in Dublin, as they proclaimed to be over and over. And over and over and over.
