It's one of the world's biggest emerging talent music festivals but the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City has been disrupted after it emerged an Ebola sufferer likely attended one of the venues.

A proposed concert at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York has been shelved after it became known that Dr. Craig Spencer, the first person to test positive for Ebola in New York City, attended either The Gutter of Brooklyn Bowl music venues n the night before he began to display symptoms.

As of last night the Brooklyn Bowl was still open but they did reference the incident on Twitter.

The Gutter, meanwhile, opted to close their venue due to the scare and were forced to cancel their CMJ shows with bands The Big Sleep, Heaven, Friend Roulette and Sun Club.

Le Galaxie, September Girls, Ham Sandwich, Raglans, S I S T E R S, Buffalo Sun, The #1s and Dott are among the Irish acts playing at CMJ this year.
