HMV's Irish stores will stage their own version of Record Store Day, Record Fest, this weekend.

The unofficial celebration that piggybacks on RSD will run on Saturday. The music retailer's Henry Street, Grafton Street, Belfast, Galway and Dundrum branches open their doors at 8am and they'll be offering 40% off all vinyl on both days.

There'll be free live music in each store, too - details of which you can see below.

HMV Henry Street, curated by Whelan’s: The Mighty Stef | Buffalo Sunn | Cry Monster Cry | Tucan | The Flaws | Riot Tapes

HMV Limerick, curated by Dolan’s: Fox Jaw | The Claire Watts Band | Changing Trains | Local DJs

HMV Galway, curated by Roisin Dubh: Daithi | The Academic

HMV Belfast, curated by Limelight: Peter McVeigh | Allie Bradley

Ham Sandwich will take part in the celebration by playing a free exclusive gig for HMV customers at Whelan's at 1pm on Saturday. To gain access with a wristband, you must buy their new album 'Stories from the Surface' - which is out this Friday - from HMV Grafton Street, Henry Street, Limerick or Galway, or HMV Xtra Vision in Navan or Kells.

Mundy will also play an exclusive gig at Whelan's on Sunday at 4.30pm - and anyone who buys his new self-titled album from HMV Grafton Street, Henry Street, Dundrum, Galway or Limerick will receive a wristband.
