Yes, Electric Picnic may already be sold out, but there are still a few ways to get yourself through the gates at Stradbally on September 2nd - even though they'll require a bit of effort.

Anyone who's been to Electric Picnic in the past few years will be aware of what a hugely fun and entertaining area that the Trailer Park is; various bars, stages, art installations and more pitch up there for the weekend, not to mention the impressively outlandish designs that many of them rock.

Well, this year, organisers are throwing open the floor to "designers, artists, engineers, technicians, builders, architects, and dreamers" who have caravan-based ideas that would fit in the Trailer Park at this year's festival, and are giving grants to make the best ones a reality.

Up to ten cash grants, ranging from €150 to €1500, will be provided for the best ideas. They will also consider one larger grant, "if an exceptional idea is proposed." It's also worth noting that the grants are not for labour, but more materials or skills that you may not have - and the key message is that they must be interactive in some way. If you have an idea but not a caravan, there is access to a limited number of caravans and vehicles (but these will remain property of Trailer Park after the festival.)

How cool would it be to rock up to Stradbally in a caravan that you've designed yourself?

You can find out more and submit your entry here, or share your ideas on Twitter via the hashtag #EP2016CaravanChallenge. The deadline for entries is April 15th at 11.59am.
