We’re here!

Entertainment.ie has arrived in Stradbally once again for another weekend of great music, food and, yes, mud. Speaking of which, if anyone reading this is coming up this evening or tomorrow afternoon be advised: wellies are a necessity.

However, this isn’t to say that the weather gods have been unkind to Electric Picnic this year. Today, Friday, was the day that most weather forecasters were doing their scaremongering when, in actual fact, it seems that we’re past the worst of it. The sun is positively splitting the stones here at EP. Whether or not that lasts is another thing but for now we’re choosing to bask in this Indian Summer.

On the music side of things, we can hear Cavan youngsters The Strypes doing their thing on the main stage as we speak/type and, after that, there’s the small matter of Blondie on the main stage and then one of our favourite Dublin bands, Oki’s Wagon, after that.

We’ll check in later with our thought but now we’re off to make the agonising decision on which of the vast array of foods vans will serve up tonight’s dinner.
