Next year marks the 20th anniversary of The Spice Girls' debut single release, 'Wannabe', which makes us feel very old indeed.

However, fans of the girl band may have something to be cheery about, as rumours continue to circulate that the five some might reunite to celebrate that same anniversary in 2016.

They've been stoked by Emma Bunton, aka Baby Spice, who told the Daily Star that the only thing standing in the way of a potential reunion is getting their schedules aligned.

"I was with Geri and Mel B just recently, we love each other and we love performing together," she reportedly said. "It's just when the timing is right because we all have our own careers now and we have families, it's just about getting five schedules together and that's all it is."

The last time that all five members performed together was at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics in London.
