One of the central hubs at Electric Picnic has always been the MindField, an oasis of literature, debate, poetry (and a hell of a lore more) located in the heart of Ireland's biggest music festival.

The MindField has been the forum for some of Electric Picnic's most memorable moments over the years, from Jon Snow's debates, to Q&A sessions aimed and inspiring and challenging all in attendance and this year won't be any different. Here's what lined up for this year:

The Leviathan Stage will once again be at the heart of MindField, with author and broadcaster David McWilliams chairing and hosting three special political cabarets aimed at discussing the state of the nation and the short-term socio-political and economical future of our island.

Mary O'Rourke will host the Electric Picnic Parliament which will shift the focus to you, asking Picnic attendees for short proposals on how to improve the state of the nation, after which they'll be voted on for inclusion in the EPP Manifesto.

The brains behind Other Voices, Philip King and Dylan Haskins, will feature in conversation with some other musical alumni, discussing the music industry with the likes of BP Fallon, Bronagh Gallagher and Clem Burke of Blondie.

Elsewhere, Bressie will talk mental health with Secret Millionaire Jim Breen, Miriam O'Callaghan will again host the Electric Picnic brunch, Jim Carroll will hold a Banter session and the Caca Milis Cabaret will bring its rambunctious vaudevillian blend of dance, music and spoken word once again.

The Science Gallery stage will also be open to challenge some inquisitive minds, while a huge programme has been include on the Theatre and Word stages.
