Indiependence Music and Arts Festival 2010

Mitchelstown's two day music festival once again takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, July 31st and August 1st. but this year, they've got big plans. Not only have Indie-Pendence expanded to accommodate four stages, including a new 3500 capacity permanent structure for the Bavaria Main Stage, they're creating a new festival village called The Square, which will feature a 1000 capacity tent for music and comedy, as well as shops, stalls, art installations and chill-out areas galore. This year's event will take place in a whole new site at Deer Farm, which apparently won't get muddy when it rains because it's situated in a limestone basin. Magic! More importantly though, it means camping is on site, no less than ten yards from the arena, so you won't have any trouble finding your way back to your tent when you're finished watching headline acts like White Lies, Reverend & The Makers, Duke Special and The Coronas.
