Spirit of Folk early bird tickets available now
Get 'em while they're hot! Early bird tickets for this September's Spirit of Folk festival are now on sale via the official website for the frankly dirt-cheap price of €35.
The two-day family friendly festival was, by all accounts, a roaring success last year successfully merging highlights from the Irish an UK folk scenes with folk storytelling, folk arts n' crafts, folk lore, folk philosophy and, well you get the idea, all things folk. Last year's line-up featured the likes of Gay Woods, Dr. Strangely Strange, Lisa O'Neill, The Hot Sprockets and Rhob Cunningham and, while this year's line-up announcement isn't expected until sometime in early May, you can expect something similar once more.
A welcome addition to the Irish festival calendar, that's for sure.

Was anyone at this festival last year ? What did you think.Posted 14:34 | Tue 1st May 2012
I was there last year, had an amazing time! I've been a regular Electric Picnic-goer for years but recently I've been disillusioned with the size of these festivals (and size of the price tag too)...Spirit of folk is the antidote to all of the overpriced and overhyped festivals around: very intimate, beautiful surroundings, great folk/trad music and the most chilled out vibe you'll get...very few teething problems for a festival in its first year although definitely could have done with better lighting around the toilet area..! Lots of dancing, singing and happy times all round. Looking forward to this year alreadyPosted 16:56 | Tue 1st May 2012
Was as this last year... it was phenomenal! I wouldn't even be that into Folk Music in general but there was such an awesome vibe in the place you couldn't help but get caught up in it!! Already have my ticket for this year.... can't recommend it enough.Posted 17:00 | Tue 1st May 2012
The festival was 'folk'ing awesome last year, really impressive for a festival in its infancy.. Looking forward to this time around cause I'm sure it will be even better..! :DPosted 16:19 | Wed 2nd May 2012
