The Salty Dog stage has been a draw for Electric Picnickers for many a year, dragging people slightly off the beaten path into a corner of the woods where a 'shipwreck' has been hosting weird and wonderful music for the last decade.

Now, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Salty Dog area will be given an overhaul - with a bustling 'port' constructed around the ship/stage comprising a two-storey structure that will be "populated with the kind of seedy low-lives that make ports all over the world a little short on scruples and long on mischief."

As for the music? The first batch of acts announced are below:

Hot Sprockets
Corner Boy
Otherkin
Stomptown Brass
Booka Brass Band
My Fellow Sponges
Deborah
The Innocent Bystander
No Monster Club
These Charming Men
Jinx Lennon
David Kitt
Shogunz of Skank
The Pale
Gangsta Ska
The Skatuesques
Nix Moon
Square Pegs
Good Strangers
Paddy Hanna
Columbia Mills
The Roadhouse Doors
Leila Jane and the Healers
Rocstrong
