LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy among names for Electric Picnic's Little Big Tent

Any music fans feeling the effects of the demise of LCD Soundsystem will have their hearts warmed by the following news. James Murphy, the brains behind the LCD Soundsystem operation, will be playing a DJ set at this year's Electric Picnic festival.

The DFA records founder is among a list of names announced by Electric Picnic this afternoon who will appear at the Little Big Tent over the course of the festival.

Other acts confirmed for the stage are The Juan MacLean, Pat Mahoney, Caribou vs. Four Tet, Rustie, Hudson Mohawke, Junior Boys, Totally Enormous, Extinct Dinosaurs, Bassnectar, John Talabot, Catz N Dogz, Amine Edge, DJ W!ld, MMoths, Le Galaxie, Not Squares, Ships, White Collar Boy, Subaltern, Orquesta, Lil Dave, T3 and Hidden Agenda DJs.

Quite the collection of electronic artists from both home and abroad, huh? Who are you looking forward to seeing most?D

Don't forget (as if you could), the Electric Picnic festival will take place from 31st August to 2nd September. Tickets are still available, priced at €230 for weekend passes with camping, or €99.50 for Sunday tickets.
