This Friday night's Barretstown Inspirations charity gig at the Olympia Theatre is to be streamed live on Muzu.tv.

The gig will feature performances from David Gray, Paddy Casey, Mundy, Duckworth Lewis Method, Lir, Gemma Hayes, Jape, Vengence & The Panther Queen, Ham Sandwich and The Dublin Gospel Choir, each performing songs by their musical heroes, as well as performing their own material, Acts on the night will perform songs by a range of artists including David Bowie, Bob Dylan,The Rolling Stones, Kate Bush and U2.

The stream is one of the first of its kind in Ireland and will give music fans everywhere the chance to enjoy the show. Organiser Gary Cohen said "We’re delighted to have joined with Muzu, the show is shaping up to be an incredible night that music fans everywhere won’t wanna miss. While the stream is free to view we encourage people to click thru and donate to Barretstown while watching."

As well as the music the night will also feature a short retrospective of legendary actor Paul Newman's movie work. Newman set up Barretstown House in 1994 to help children suffering with serious illnesses. All proceeds from the gig will go to Barretstown House.
