“La Scala” translated into English means “the stairs” what a perfect name to give our basement restaurant Charleville which we opened in 2005 and the fact that Stefano ( the owner ) comes from Milan, we couldn’t but give that little jewel the name “ La Scala Restaurant” . We moved to Mallow in October 2009 and after our built up reputation decided to keep the name La Scala and seeing that there were no stairs in this restaurant we purposely built them on the way to the kitchen! Tradition must go on !
