Kirwan's Lane, Galway
Located in the historic setting of Kirwan's Lane, one of Galway's last remaining medieval lanes, Kirwan's Lane Restaurant boasts a fine lunch and evening menu featuring the best of fresh local produce. The restaurant is tastefully decorated in warm autumnal shades. With a combination of excellent food and wine, this creates the perfect recipe for a pleasant evening. The lunch menu features such creative dishes as: Irish brie Crostini, Marinated Salmon Roulade, Piccato Milanese of Pork and Panache of Seafood. Evening diners can chose from such dishes as: Millefeuille of fresh crab, Loin of Connemara, Stuffed breast of guinea fowl and Saute fresh monkfish. Host & Proprietor, Michael O'Grady and his staff will ensure that you enjoy the best of Galway fare in a convivial environment.
This is a reliably good restaurant in Kirwan's Lane - in the heart of Galway, but just away from the hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfare. The food is delicious and the menu varied - something for everyone. The staff are efficient and will not rush you with your meal as can happen in many Galway eateries. I was warned off this place by a local resident who suggested that I'd pay through the nose for a meal of less than stellar quality. Wrong on both counts - reasonable value and terrific food. Having scoured the town for a suitable place to celebrate a special occasion, this gets my vote for the finest restaurant in Galway.Posted 11:46 | Mon 16th Aug 2010
Was here with a friend recently and we both had steaks - Both were done exactly as requested and were amazing. Sides were lovely as well and all was topped off with yummy desserts. Top stuff!Posted 16:56 | Sun 12th Sep 2010
