Lovely location at The English Market but it is very overpriced for what it is, coffee isn't good and it can be very cold as it is an exposed gallery cafe

Nice place for lunch but quite expensive for what you're getting

I'm not gone on this place. Yeah the food is nice enough but nothing to write home about. The toilets are a disgrace and to be honest whenever I see poor hygiene standards in the toilets it makes me wonder about the standards in the kitchen.

The Farmgate is a great place to go when you've bought all the fresh fish/veg/spices and fruit in the English Market and feel you deserve a break. It can be crowded, but the food is lovely and there's always a great variety. Excellence in the City Centre

This is a nice when you want a quick bite, can be a bit overcrowded so not a great place to sit and chat. But they always have something interesting on the menu.

Love to visit this place when I'm in Cork. It can be tough to get a table. You can see the workings of the English Market below you and a lot of the food they served is actually sourced in the Market below - a very nice touch. Good for chowder, and for cake and a coffee.

Its a nice place for tourists as the english market has a huge historical element. However I think the seating can be quite a stressful and uncomfortable experience. I had a great seafood chowder ther but on the two occasions I ordered a scone my mouth was like the Sahara afterwards. The coffee refills is a nice touch though!

The 'open section' is fantastic for seafood chowder and lunch food. Avoid the 'closed section', though. The food wasn't worth the price. The toilets there were the worst I have ever encountered in any establishment.
