  Avoid this kip at all costs. Went last friday, stopping over in Roscrea on the way down to Clare with my Girlfriend. We both went for the set menu at €18.50 each. For starters we had spring rolls which we're not fresh, clearly looked and tasted like they we're straight out of the freezer and into the deep fat fryer. Very greasy fare. The main course was even worse. My girlfriend ordered Hong Kong Style Sweet & Sour Chicken with Fried Rice. This came as 5 separate chicken balls (dry) along with a plate of rice and accompanied by a small dish of sauce! So basically a three in one and it looked and tasted terrible. I got the Sizzling Beef which was not much better, a similar sweet and sour sauce (stock sauce?) which masked the questionable beef. Fried rice was clumpy and dry, far too over cooked. Absolute rip off for the quality of food, wasn't even take away standard and I can only imagine the state of their kitchen, no fresh ingredients, all frozen or out of jars and vats, msg ridden sauce. All round a really bad quality restaurant and experience. People pay good money to go to restaurants so the least you should expect is value for money and proper food, this place offers neither and takes no pride in the crap it serves up. Hostess was all over us like a rash topping up our water and asking if everything was alright trying to mask the clear inadequacy of the food which we had turned our noses up at in disgust. Indian Restaurants are the way to go these days, the majority of chinese restaurants no longer care or take pride in the food they serve, full of msg, salt and stock sauce. 0 stars for the Dragon Inn, their food belongs in the Bin!

  colberta u dont know good food when you get it and i happen to eat there the whole time and its delicious you probably have your own restaurant and you want people to look down on this get a life! and grow up!
