Dizzee Rascal is set to release his autobiography in October 2010. The rapper will co-write the book, provisionally titled 'The Dizzee Rascal Story' with music journalist Ben Thompson.
Dizzee's Dirtee Stank Recordings label has teamed up with publishers Canongate to produce the book through a new 'Dirtee Books' imprint. It will include photos, lyrics and an 'intimite insight' into the rapper's life, including his difficult teenage years and life-threatening stabbing in 2003.
Nick Davies, Editorial Director of Canongate, said "Not only is Dizzee one of the most talented and innovative musicians alive today, he is one of the most articulate and opinionated – as his lyrics testify… It promises to be a genuinely groundbreaking book."
An audiobook, e-book and iPhone App will also be released in October alongside the hardback edition, while a paperback will follow in summer 2011.
