Fun Filled Family Day at Punchestown Festival

The AES Family Day at the Punchestown Festival will take place in Punchestown Racecourse with a host of fun filled events for race going adults and children alike. For the second year running, AES will sponsor the family day which plays a large part in the festival weekend at Punchestown, attracting over 23,000 punters in 2011. A perfect day out for the whole family, the AES Family Day will see plenty of action both on and off the racetrack with free entry for children all day long.

AES – the number one waste and recycling company in Kildare – will host interactive fun areas for children at the Punchestown Festival, where they can learn about recycling through fun arts and crafts with recycled goods. There will also be music workshops where children can learn about ‘recycled’ music. With a shopping village, a funfair and live music on the day this is one family day not be missed.

The AES Family Day will see plenty of action on the race front with a seven race national hunt card featuring the Grade 1 AES Champion Four Year Old Hurdle, worth €80,000. While the adults enjoy the action on the race track, the kids will be well looked after with a host of exciting activities to take part in, including the ‘Junior Jockey’s Fun Club’ featuring bounce world, a 3,000 foot area of inflatable fun. Adding to the excitement of the races, children will be able to take part in ‘The Giddy Up Club’, an interactive kid’s race club offering pony rides, along with other free family fun, from face painting to a children’s fancy dress competition and a marching band. Art from a local school’s competition will also be displayed on the day with lots of great prizes on offer for the winners that have entered prior to the Family Day.
