One of the most anticipated movies since Peter Jackson's The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, here Jackson takes us back to Bilbo Baggins' beggining. This sees Bradley Cooper star as Pat Solitano - a former teacher whose just come out of a mental institution - who moves back in with his parents in an attempt to reconcile with his ex-wife. Things get more challenging when Pat meets the mysterious Tiffany - played by Jennifer Lawrence - who has problems of her own. (Release Date: 21st November)
A movie that'll have you feeling all fuzzy inside just in time for Christmas, Nativity 2 sees David Tennant's worried teacher forced to juggle between his heavily pregnant wife (Joanna Page) and a class of the cutest children you'll ever come across on a less than ideal road trip to the National 'Song for Christmas' Competition. (Release Date: 23rd November)
Starring Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter and the young Jeremy Irvine, this is a new telling of an old Dickens' classic. A humble orphan (Pip, played by Irvine) suddenly becomes a gentleman with the help of an unknown benefactor and develops an unlikely friendship with Miss Havisham (Bonham-Carter). Written by Martin McDonagh and starring our very own Colin Firth, Seven Psychopaths tells the story of a struggling screenwriter (Farrell) who inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends (among which is Sam Rockwell) kidnap a gangster's beloved Shih Tzu. As crazy as it sounds. (Release Date: 7th November)
With the widely praised Ang Lee at the helm, Life of Pi centres on a young man who - upon survivinga disaster at sea - finds himself hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. Where Tom Hankds found friendship with Wilson, his ball, Pi forms an unexpected connection with a fellow survivor, a Bengal tiger. (Release Date: 21st December)
One of the most talked about movies of the year, Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master is alleged to be based somewhat on the inception of Scientology. Naval veteran (Joaquin Phoenix) arrives home from WW2 unsettled and uncertain of his future. He then falls for the charm of a new group called The Cause and its charismatic leader played to perfection by Philip Seymour Hoffman. (Release Date: 9th November)
Based on Lee Childs' widely acclaimed book, Jack Reacher tells the story of a homicide investigator who digs deeper into a case involving a trained military sniper who shot five random victims. Tom Cruise takes on the iconic role alongside Rosamund Pike. (Release Date: 26th November)
One of the most superbly cast films on this list, Gangster Squad will no doubt take the sting out of what can often be a rather glum month. set in the 40s and 50s, here the LAPD are doing their best to keep the east coast mafia out of their city, particularly Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn). Captain Parker (Nick Nolte) creates an off-the-books task-force who will do what normal, law-abiding police officers cannot. (Release Date: 9th November)
