Prince is one of the only major artists whose music is not widely available on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music since he removed them two years ago.

Although TIDAL hold the rights to a selection of the late icons' back catalogue, his biggest hits cannot be heard on the bigger streaming services.

However, it looks like that might change, as his estate are allegedly in talks that will allow his music to gain a wider audience via streaming.

Bloomberg reports that talks are ongoing to resolve the situation before the Grammy Awards next month, and that a record/licencing deal was also in the pipeline.

It's expected that the Grammys, which take place on February 12th, will stage a tribute to Prince this year and his estate are hoping to use it as a promotional opportunity.

Most of Prince's back catalogue is not available even on YouTube at the moment.
