With just over two weeks to go until Donald Trump is sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, time is running out to find the musical entertainment for his inauguration.

Indeed, it seems that the committee have their work cut out for them, as more acts have come out saying that they've been approached and have refused the offer than those who have signed up to perform.

However, there may be hope on the horizon for Trump as former X Factor singer Rebecca Ferguson has said that she'll perform, but on one condition - that she can sing Billie Holiday's iconic political and racial protest song 'Strange Fruit.'

Ferguson - who was runner-up to Matt Cardle in 2010 - said on Twitter: "I’ve been asked and this is my answer. If you allow me to sing ‘Strange Fruit’ – a song that has huge historical importance. A song that was blacklisted in the United States for being too controversial. A song that speaks to all the disregarded and down trodden black people in the United States. A song that is a reminder of how love is the only thing that will conquer all the hatred in this world, then I will graciously accept your invitation and see you in Washington.”

Somehow, we can't see Trump going for that, but we await his response with baited breath...
